I was contacted by the Duffer Brothers (writers and directors of the hit TV show Stranger Things) to create a series of digital illustrations of key moments from the show. The goal was to recreate a classic 80s illustrated style using digital techniques.
I sketched each image in Adobe Photoshop using a custom pencil brush. I then used a series of textured brushes to simulate an airbrush painted style.
The finished illustrations were printed onto canvas and given to the cast of the show as wrap gifts. A complete set of the prints were also given to producer Shawn Levy to hang in his office.
