I was hired to create the promotional poster art for Wicker Man, the newly announced theme park ride at Alton Towers.
Growing up in the North West of England, I have many happy memories of visits to Alton Towers with friends and family. So, being asked to create artwork for their latest attraction was incredibly special.
The piece is created digitally using Procreate for iPad Pro and Adobe Photoshop with a Wacom tablet.
Wicker Man is the first wooden roller coaster in the UK in 21 years. In the center there is a 57.57ft tall Wicker Man statue, appearing to burst into flames as the wooden track races three separate times through the structure. The ride is due to open in spring 2018.
